Matthew Matt James, born December 5, 1991 in North Carolina. He is the child of Manny and Patty James and is of mixed race. Her mother is caucasian and his father Nigerian. He graduated in 2010 at Sanderson High School and furthered into Wake Forest University where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics in the year 2015. James gained fame when his role as a reality TV star in The Bachelorette. James was picked in the year 2020 as the new bachelor in The Bachelor season 25, making him the debut African American male star. The show premiered later in the year. James is the perfect candidate for the job, since he's rounded, tall and has good humor. Rachael Krokconnell won the competition by allowing James to establish an intimate relationship with her. He teamed up with the popular professional dancer Arnold in 2021, to take part in season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James and Arnold finished 12th.
